1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hunajata.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Service Description

Hunajata.com is a beekeeping management platform that allows you to track apiaries, hives, inspections, treatments, feedings, harvests, and IoT sensor data. The Service is provided on a freemium model with free and paid subscription tiers.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• The free tier ("Hobbyist") includes limited features including up to 5 hives.
• The paid tier ("Professional") provides unlimited hives and advanced features for a monthly subscription fee.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring monthly charges.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of a charge if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

5. Your Data and Content

• You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Hunajata.com, including apiary data, hive records, inspection notes, sensor data, and any other content.
• You grant us a limited license to process and store your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You may export your data at any time. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond normal API usage limits.
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or code designed to harm the Service or other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity.

7. IoT Sensors and Data

If you connect IoT sensors (e.g., RuuviTag, hive scales) to the Service, you are responsible for proper sensor placement and maintenance. We process sensor data to provide monitoring, alerts, and analytics. Sensor data accuracy depends on your hardware — we are not liable for decisions made based on sensor readings.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-powered features (disease detection, swarming prediction) will be accurate or error-free. These features are informational aids and should not replace professional veterinary or beekeeping advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
